Information on the MoonLightFight 2026

For the seventh time, Easter Sunday in Saas-Fee will be all about the MoonLightFight. The parallel race on the edge of the village featuring its night-time floodlit finals has firmly established itself in the resort's event calendar. Its popularity is reflected in the record number of registrations: around 200 people have signed up across the four age categories – from the youngest competitors (born in 2020) right through to seasoned Olympic athletes.

At the MLF, fun traditionally takes priority over sporting ambition. We're highlighting this with prizes for the best fancy dress. Alongside skiers, the Jowang piste will also see snowbladers, snowboarders, telemarkers, and – for the first time this year – a few mountain bikers taking part. We can't wait to see how they fare!

Following heavy snowfall in the second half of March, the forecast is now looking highly promising: MeteoSwiss is predicting perfect winter sports conditions for Sunday, with cloudless skies and temperatures above freezing. Thanks to the north-facing slopes and professional piste preparation, we can once again expect fair competition conditions.

Speaking of the competition: you asked, and we delivered! Every competitor will complete two qualifying runs against an opponent of their choice – so there's nothing standing in the way of a head-to-head duel with a mate.

Starting places are filling up fast, and the Men's U40 category is almost sold out. Online registration remains open until midnight on Saturday, 4th April. Late entries on the day will be accepted up to 30 minutes before the qualifiers begin (subject to availability).

Already put your skis away in the basement? Just pop down to the festival area at the Kalbermatten sports ground! The bar and food stalls offer a fantastic selection of food and drink. The legendary after-party with DJ Soapman will be going strong until 3:00 am.
